The product is now called Juno and is run by Intake Nexus. Nothing changed in how data is handled.
The short version: Juno only hears people in the voice channel she was invited to, everyone is told she's there, audio is never saved, and anyone can opt out with /juno optout.
- Audio is never savedHeld in memory for about two minutes, then overwritten. Never written to disk.
- Opt out any time/juno optout and she stops hearing you, in every channel of that server.
- Receipts kept 365 daysThe claim, the verdict and the sources, so they can be shared. Then deleted.
- No training on your dataNot by us, and our providers may not use it to train their models.
- Your micDiscord sends each person's audio to Juno separately. Opted-out members are never received.
- Her name, heard on our serverThe wake word runs on our own servers. Nothing is transcribed before someone says it.
- The last minute, transcribedOnly the request and up to a minute before it, so she knows what “that” is.
- Answer and receiptOne sentence out loud; the claim, verdict and sources posted in chat.
- ForgottenAudio is overwritten within about two minutes and never saved. Transcripts are gone in ten.
Who we are
Intake Nexus (“we”) runs Juno, a voice assistant for Discord voice channels, and this website. Questions or requests: eric@intakenexus.com.
When Juno listens
- Only in a voice channel where someone ran
/juno join, and only until she leaves (by command, when the channel empties, or after a few minutes of silence). - When she joins she says so out loud, changes her nickname to “Juno · listening”, and sets the channel status. If she can't do those things, she refuses to listen.
- Members who run
/juno optoutare never heard: their audio is not received or processed at all, in any channel of that server.
Audio
- Each person's audio is decoded on our servers and kept in memory in a rolling buffer of about two minutes. It is never written to disk and is deleted when Juno leaves the channel or when someone runs
/juno forget. - Her name (“Juno”) is detected by software running on our servers, not by a third party.
- In the default mode, nothing is sent for transcription until someone says her name. Then that person's request, plus up to the last minute of what people in the channel said, is transcribed so she understands what “that” refers to.
/juno catchmeuptranscribes up to the last two minutes when someone asks for it. - In Referee and Host modes, which a server has to switch on, what people say is transcribed in short batches every few seconds, so she can follow the conversation. Only the stretches where someone is talking are sent, never the silence in between.
- If you attach a screenshot to
/juno checkor/juno ask, the image is sent to the AI model with your question. We don't keep a copy; Discord hosts the attachment. - Transcription is done by Deepgram, Inc. Some of it may instead run on our own servers, in which case that audio never leaves them. We have opted out of Deepgram's model improvement program, so the audio we send is not used to train their models.
- We don't create voiceprints or recognise people by their voice. Discord tells us who is speaking.
Transcripts
Transcripts are kept in memory only, for at most ten minutes, and are used as context for Juno's answers. They are never written to disk. /juno forget deletes them early, and opting out removes your lines immediately.
Answers and fact-checks
To answer, Juno sends the request and a short excerpt of the recent conversation (display names and what was said) to Anthropic, which provides the AI model, and the model may search the web using the question or claim. The text Juno speaks is sent to OpenAI to generate her voice; your audio is not sent to OpenAI. Under their API terms, neither Anthropic nor OpenAI trains its models on this data by default.
What we store
- Receipts: the claim or question, the verdict or answer, the sources, the display names and Discord user IDs of who said it and who asked, the server and channel IDs, the time, and performance data (speed, cost). Deleted automatically after 365 days, when the bot is removed from the server, or earlier on request.
- Bets: what was bet, who took each side, the stake as said, and the outcome.
- Server settings, opt-outs and usage counts: so Juno behaves the way your server chose, never hears people who opted out, and stays within plan limits.
- Purchases: for paid plans bought through Discord, the plan, the server or the buyer's Discord user ID, and when it starts and ends. Discord handles the payment; we never see card details.
- Operational logs: events such as “a request was answered”, with hashed (not raw) user IDs, timing and the length of what was said. No audio, no transcripts and no claim text. Kept only as long as needed to run and fix the service.
- Backups: the database is backed up daily and each backup is kept for 14 days, so anything deleted is gone from backups within 14 days.
We don't use your audio, transcripts or receipts to train AI models. To improve Juno we only use statistics that can't be tied to any person, such as how fast answers were or how often verdicts were disputed.
Share pages
Each receipt has a share link. Anyone with the link can view it; the address is random and can't be guessed, and we ask search engines not to index it. Server leaderboard pages only open through links Juno posts in that server, and those links expire after 30 days.
Stream overlay (Studio plan). A server manager can create a private link that shows receipt cards on a live stream as they happen: the claim or question, the verdict, the sources' site names, and the display name of who said it. Nothing else from the channel is shown, and the link stops working if the server leaves the Studio plan. If your server uses it, the people in that voice channel should know they may appear on stream.
Who we share data with
Only the providers above (Deepgram, Anthropic, OpenAI), our hosting provider, and Discord, which delivers the audio and messages and processes payments for paid plans. Each provider may use the data only to provide its service to us. These providers are in the United States, so your data may be processed there. We don't sell or share personal data for advertising, we don't give it to data brokers, and we don't show ads.
Your choices
/juno optout: Juno stops hearing you immediately and drops what she holds about you. Run it again to opt back in./juno forget: wipes the audio and transcript Juno is holding for the channel./juno forget what: mealso takes your name and ID off every stored receipt and bet in that server (the verdicts stay, anonymous, so other people's stats still add up)./juno export: sends you, by DM, a file with every stored receipt and bet that names you./juno privacy: shows exactly what she is holding right now.- For anything else (full deletion across every server, corrections, questions about what we hold), contact eric@intakenexus.com.
When a server removes Juno, that server's receipts, bets, opt-outs and settings are deleted, even if it happened while she was offline.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to how we use it, and to complain to your data protection authority. The commands above cover most of this; for the rest, contact eric@intakenexus.com. We answer within 30 days and won't treat you differently for asking. We process data to provide the service your server asked for (our legitimate interest), and you can always stop by opting out.
Reporting a problem
To report misuse of Juno, a wrong or harmful answer, or a privacy concern, contact eric@intakenexus.com, or report the app through Discord. We review every report.
Children
Juno follows Discord's minimum age and is not directed at children under 13.
Security
Audio and transcripts stay in memory, connections to our providers are encrypted, and share pages carry no tracking scripts or third-party content.
Changes
If we change how Juno handles data, we update this page and the date above before the change takes effect.
